September 28 - Matthew 21:22

September 28 - Matthew 21:22

"And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith."

When we are in the kitchen, we trust in the process of cooking. We trust that if we add the right ingredients and follow the steps, we will end up with a satisfying meal. We do this even when we can't see the final product yet. Similarly, when we approach God in prayer, we are called to have faith and trust in His process.

Matthew 21:22 tells us that faith is a key ingredient in our prayers. Just as we have faith that our efforts in the kitchen will result in a delicious meal, we should have faith that our prayers will be answered according to God's will and perfect timing.

Prayer is not simply a wish-list or a one-way conversation, it's an act of faith. When we pour out our hearts to God in prayer, we express our trust in His sovereignty and His goodness. Let's approach our prayers with faith, knowing that God hears us and will respond in His perfect time and way.

Reflective Questions:

  1. How does your faith influence your prayer life?
  2. Can you recall a time when God answered your prayers unexpectedly?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of prayer. Help us to approach You with faith, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Increase our faith, Lord, and teach us to rely on You in all things. Amen.
