September 20 - Romans 1:17

"For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: 'The righteous will live by faith.'”

Just as the transformation from raw ingredients to a beautiful dish is revealed through the cooking process, so is God's righteousness revealed in the gospel through faith. The process might involve heat and time, but in the end, the ingredients are transformed into a nourishing meal.

Romans 1:17 emphasizes that God's righteousness, like a delicious dish, is revealed through faith. We live by faith, confident that God is at work, even when the end result isn't yet visible.

Just as we trust the cooking process to transform our ingredients, let's trust the process of faith to transform our lives and reveal God's righteousness. As we cook, let's remember that the same faith that transforms our ingredients can transform us too.

Reflective Questions:

  1. How have you experienced the transformational power of faith in your life?
  2. In what ways can you live by faith, revealing God's righteousness in your daily life?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your righteousness that is revealed through faith. As we trust the cooking process to transform our ingredients, help us to trust You more, living by faith and revealing Your righteousness. Amen.
