February 28th: Love’s Preservation

February 28th: Love’s Preservation

Psalm 136:1 - "Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever."

Just as a jar of well-preserved jam remains flavorful and fresh, defying the passage of time, God's love for us remains constant, preserving us through every season of life. This eternal love is a testament to God's unchanging nature and His unfaltering commitment to His children.

The Psalmist repeatedly reminds us of the enduring nature of God's love. Amidst life's unpredictabilities, this eternal love becomes our anchor. Whether we face challenges, joys, doubts, or moments of gratitude, God's love remains a reassuring and unchanging presence.

The knowledge of this everlasting love should inspire us to live in gratitude and faith. In our relationships, may we also aspire to mirror this endurance, loving with a commitment that doesn't waver with changing circumstances. Let's allow love to be our preservative, maintaining the freshness and authenticity of our bonds.

Reflection Questions:

1. How have you experienced the enduring love of God in your own life's journey?

2. In which relationships can you work towards ensuring that love acts as a preserving force?

Morning Prayer:

Thank You, Lord, for Your love that endures forever, preserving and uplifting me. Instill in me the desire to love others with the same endurance and authenticity, making every bond meaningful and steadfast. Amen.
