December 23rd: Kneading with Care

December 23rd: Kneading with Care

Isaiah 64:8 - "Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand."

Every artist knows the intricate process of molding and shaping their medium until it aligns with their vision. God, our divine Potter, crafts us with a similar dedication. Each pressure, each touch, has a purpose.

It can be difficult, as clay, to understand the intention behind the molding, especially when it feels painful. Yet, it's through this process that we're transformed into vessels fit for purpose, displaying the artistry of the divine.

It's crucial to remain pliable in God's hands, trusting in His loving intent and the masterful design He has for us.

Reflection Questions

  1. In what areas of your life do you struggle with allowing God to mold you?

  2. How can you remain trusting and pliable in the Potter's hands, even during challenging times?

Morning Prayer

Heavenly Father, I submit myself to Your hands today. Mold me, shape me, and transform me into the vessel You desire. May I trust in Your loving touch and masterful design, even when I don't understand. Amen.
