Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."
In the culinary world, a sieve is a tool of precision. It filters out the unwanted elements, leaving behind only what is necessary for the dish. Just as a chef uses this tool, we too have a spiritual sieve – the filter of discernment and self-control.
Our minds are constantly bombarded with information, thoughts, and stimuli. But not all of it aligns with God's design for us. By using the filter of discernment, as highlighted by Paul, we can sift through the noise, focusing on what is true, noble, right, and pure. By concentrating on these things, our actions, words, and decisions become reflections of God's heart.
