November 19th: Preserving Moments

November 19th: Preserving Moments

Psalm 69:30* - "I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving."

Preserving fruits or vegetables allows us to enjoy their flavors long after their season has passed. Similarly, by preserving our moments of gratitude and thankfulness, we create a reservoir of faith for times when we might feel spiritually dry or distant from God. These moments, captured through songs, prayers, or even journal entries, serve as reminders of God's enduring faithfulness and become testaments to His goodness in our lives.

As we navigate life's challenges, these preserved moments can be a source of encouragement and inspiration, lifting our spirits and drawing us back into a heart of praise and thanksgiving. They magnify God's presence in our lives and remind us of His unchanging nature.

Reflection Questions

1. How do you preserve your moments of thankfulness to God?

2. Can you recall a preserved moment that encouraged you during a challenging time?

Morning Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to treasure and preserve the moments of Your goodness in my life. As I walk through every season, may these memories draw me closer to You, filling my heart with songs of gratitude and praise. Amen.
