March 7th: Seeking the Kingdom First

March 7th: Seeking the Kingdom First

Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

The world often bombards us with countless priorities and distractions, making it easy to lose sight of what truly matters. Jesus, in His Sermon on the Mount, offers a corrective lens. He calls us to prioritize the kingdom of God above all else.

When we seek God's kingdom first, we align our hearts and actions with His will. This doesn't mean neglecting our responsibilities or needs, but rather ensuring that our ultimate aim is to glorify God and advance His kingdom. When we do this, Jesus assures us that our Heavenly Father will take care of our needs.

Reflection Questions:

1. What does seeking the kingdom of God look like in your daily life?

2. Are there areas in your life where worldly concerns are overshadowing kingdom priorities?

Morning Prayer:

Lord Jesus, help me to prioritize Your kingdom in every aspect of my life. Grant me discernment to distinguish between the urgent and the eternal, and courage to choose the latter. Thank you for the promise that when I seek Your kingdom first, everything else falls into place. Amen.
