June 9th: The Recipe of Kindness

June 9th: The Recipe of Kindness

Ephesians 4:32 - "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

Consider kindness as a delicate recipe that requires careful measurement and balance. Just as a chef combines various elements to create a harmonious dish, we are called to blend kindness with tenderheartedness and forgiveness. The verse from Ephesians 4:32 reminds us to "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

In this recipe of kindness, God's forgiveness toward us serves as the foundational ingredient. Just as the right balance of flavors enhances a dish, extending kindness with a heart full of grace and forgiveness enhances our interactions. By embracing tenderheartedness and forgiveness, we mirror Christ's love and exemplify the essence of true kindness.

Reflection Questions:

1. How can you incorporate tenderheartedness and forgiveness into your acts of kindness?

2. In what ways does God's forgiveness toward you inspire you to extend kindness to others?

Daily Morning Prayer:

Heavenly Father, guide me in crafting the delicate recipe of kindness in my interactions. Help me blend tenderheartedness and forgiveness into my acts of kindness, reflecting Your love and grace. May my actions mirror the forgiveness I've received in Christ. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
