June 26th: Kindness's Nourishing Word

June 26th: Kindness's Nourishing Word

Proverbs 16:24 - "Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones."

Consider kindness as a nourishing word that satisfies the soul. Just as a well-prepared meal satisfies the body, gracious words satisfy the deepest parts of us. The verse from Proverbs 16:24 describes that "gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones."

In your interactions, let your speech be seasoned with kindness. Like a nourishing meal, your words should bring healing, comfort, and strength to those around you. By offering words of grace, you contribute to an atmosphere of love and encouragement.

Reflection Questions:

1. How can you ensure that your words are seasoned with the sweetness of kindness?

2. In what ways can your speech bring healing, comfort, and strength to those who hear it?

Daily Morning Prayer:

Gracious Father, guide me in using my words to offer nourishment and healing through kindness. Help me season my speech with the sweetness that brings comfort and strength. May my words be a source of encouragement and love. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
