June 19th: The Well-Set Table of Kindness

June 19th: The Well-Set Table of Kindness

Proverbs 9:2 - "She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine; she has also set her table."

Consider kindness as a well-set table inviting others to experience the richness of God's love. Just as setting a table involves careful preparation, kindness requires intentional readiness of heart and action. The verse from Proverbs 9:2 describes the preparation of a feast, a symbol of generous hospitality.

In your life, let your heart and actions be prepared to offer kindness. Just as a well-set table welcomes guests, your intentional acts of kindness invite others to experience the grace and compassion of God. By setting a table of kindness, you create an environment where others can taste and see the goodness of the Lord.

Reflection Questions:

1. How can you intentionally prepare your heart and actions to offer kindness to others?

2. In what ways can your life be a well-set table that invites others to experience God's love through your graciousness?

Daily Morning Prayer:

Loving God, guide me in preparing a well-set table of kindness in my interactions. Help me intentionally ready my heart and actions to extend grace and compassion. May my life be an invitation for others to experience Your love through my acts of kindness. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
